Neubauer Family Foundation

The Neubauer Family Assistant Professors Program is made possible by a $25 million commitment from the Neubauer Family Foundation. Through this gift, the Neubauer Family Foundation ensures that the University of Chicago continues its tradition of attracting exceptional scholars early in their academic careers.

A long-standing partner to the University of Chicago, the Neubauer Family Foundation has contributed to a number of campaigns and initiatives, with lifetime giving to the University totaling more than $125 million.

The Neubauer Family Foundation has established fellowships for faculty and graduate students in the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the Division of the Humanities, the Division of Physical Sciences, and the Division of Social Sciences. It has also founded the Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society, created the Neubauer Family Adelante Summer Scholars program, and supported the Odyssey Scholarship Program.

Joseph Neubauer, MBA’65, is the former CEO of Aramark Corporation and was elected chair of the University’s Board of Trustees in 2015. Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer founded the marketing and communications firm J.P. Lerman & Co. and is a former vice president of communications for Time Warner Inc.
