Aaron Brown was named a Neubauer Family Assistant Professor in 2017. He primarily works in smooth hyperbolic dynamics, nonuniform hyperbolicity, and smooth ergodic theory.
Brown’s work has been published in the Journal of the American Mathematical Society and the Annals of Mathematics. He has presented at dozens of lectures, seminars, and conferences at various universities across the country.
Previously, Brown served as an L. E. Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago. He also taught at Tufts University and at Pennsylvania State University, where he held a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and a PhD in mathematics from Tufts University.
